City of Burien opens applications for 2026 Arts and Culture Grants

Burien, WALocal News

The City of Burien has launched its 2026 Arts and Culture grant program, which accepts applications for funding from individuals and organizations dedicated to enhancing community engagement through the arts. Grants of up to $1,200 will support performances, exhibitions, educational opportunities, and cultural events, with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusion for all residents. The Burien Arts Commission manages the program, which allows funds to be used for one-time events, the development of new artistic works, and educational initiatives aimed at youth, seniors, and underserved populations. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis, with reviews taking place throughout 2025 and final decisions anticipated by the end of that year. The initiative reflects Burien’s commitment to fostering a vibrant cultural scene and increasing public access to the arts.

This funding opportunity encourages creative expression and aims to build a more inclusive community. As the program unfolds, it will play a crucial role in supporting local artists and cultural organizations. The city’s investment in the arts is expected to enrich the lives of its residents and strengthen community ties.
