VIDEO Highline High School unveils student-created Centennial Mural honoring 100 Years of history

Highline High School unveiled a student-created Centennial Mural on May 21, 2025, marking its 100th anniversary. The mural was revealed during the annual CTE/Arts Showcase, which ran from 3 to 7 p. m. and featured various student performances. Principal Clint Sallee stressed that the mural represents more than grades, as it reflects students' dedication and passion.

The project involved collaboration among students, alumni, and the Highline Heritage Museum, using archival materials to connect the past and present. Highline’s Core Plus construction program contributed by building the mural's display frame. The event attracted many attendees, celebrating the school's rich legacy and future. This initiative underscores Highline's commitment to student voice and the arts in the Burien community.
