Explore Seattle Southside unveils “The Southcenter Files,” a free phone-based scavenger hunt at Westfield Southcenter Mall from June 13-20. This event coincides with the 2025 Men in Black Birthday Bash, honoring the notorious 1947 Maury Island Incident, which has intrigued UFO enthusiasts for decades. Participants can engage with hidden clues and cosmic puzzles, using their smartphones to navigate the mall in a new way. Prizes include two standard Squishables valued at $65 each, tickets to MIBBB Fest, and gift certificates. Mark Everton, CEO of Explore Seattle Southside, emphasized the scavenger hunt's goal of igniting curiosity while highlighting local history.

This blend of family fun and local lore offers a unique experience designed to engage visitors. Participants can start their quest by scanning QR code posters displayed around the mall. The scavenger hunt reflects a growing interest in interactive and immersive events in the region.
