Burien, WALocal News

The City of Burien is hosting a community conversation on May 28, 2025, at 5:30 p. m. at the Boulevard Park Library to discuss improving access to healthy food options in the Boulevard Park neighborhood. City Manager Adolfo Bailon and members of the Economic Development Division will present current initiatives and seek feedback from the community. This free event is part of the city's Coffee Chat series, designed to facilitate informal discussions between residents and city leaders.

The neighborhood has struggled with limited grocery store access and fresh produce, making this conversation particularly significant for local residents. Organizers emphasize the importance of community input, stating, “We would love to hear your input and ideas. ” To ensure accessibility, the session will be conducted in both English and Spanish. Residents can find more information on the event's Facebook page. This initiative aims to address ongoing food access challenges and foster a healthier community.
