Burien City Council to consider ordinances, EMS Levy, proclamations more at Mondays meeting

The Burien City Council will meet on May 19, 2025, to consider significant legislative actions, including the adoption of two ordinances and a discussion on the King County Emergency Medical Services levy. The meeting will commence at 5:30 p. m. at City Hall, with options for remote viewing via Comcast TV channel 21 and Zoom. Proclamations for Jewish American Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month will be presented, highlighting the council's commitment to community issues.

Public participation will be allowed, although campaigning during the meeting is strictly prohibited under RCW 42. 17A. 555. City Manager Adolfo Bailon will lead discussions on the ordinances and the EMS levy, providing insights into their implications. The council also plans to review its planning calendar and hear a presentation from Consor.
