The Seattle Aquarium’s Beach Naturalist program will return to Seahurst Park Beach this summer, providing a chance for visitors to engage with local marine life. On May 28, a low tide of -4. 05 at 12:20 p. m. presents a prime opportunity for exploration, with naturalists available from 11 a.

m. to 2 p. m. The program is designed to educate the public on intertidal ecosystems and encourage the responsible enjoyment of these habitats. Additional dates include June 28 and July 25, with varying times and tide levels.

Participants can learn about beach-dwelling creatures such as sea stars and barnacles. The Environmental Science Center will also have its own Beach Naturalists available during low tides, offering guidance and stewardship tips. This initiative connects people of all ages with marine life, fostering a sense of responsibility towards the shoreline ecosystem.
