Des Moines man arrested after ramming 7 vehicles near Marina Condos

A 21-year-old man was arrested in Des Moines after allegedly ramming seven parked vehicles and attempting to run over a bystander on May 8, 2025. Police responded to multiple 911 calls at approximately 8:41 p. m. regarding a black Ford F-150 driving erratically. Witnesses reported the driver striking parked cars and making an attempt on a pedestrian’s life.

Bystanders intervened, stopping the truck and restraining the driver until law enforcement arrived. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the chaotic incident. The driver now faces charges for DUI, reckless endangerment, and hit-and-run, and he was booked into King County Jail after a DUI blood draw. This event underscores the urgent need for greater enforcement of traffic laws to prevent reckless driving. Incidents like this raise alarms about public safety in residential areas.
