Bonney Watson Washington Memorial Park announces Memorial Day activities

Burien, WALocal News

Bonney Watson Washington Memorial Park will host a Memorial Day community event on May 27, 2024, from 1 to 3 p. m. The event invites all to gather, honor, and remember with activities such as patriotic arts and crafts, face painting, and a food drive for local families. Attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods and non-perishables to support their neighbors in need. Since 1931, the park has commemorated military veterans by placing flags on their graves, a tradition upheld by dedicated volunteers.

Additionally, a 15% discount on cemetery properties will be offered for those considering pre-need arrangements. The event reflects the park's ongoing commitment to honoring those who have served and fostering community connections. By participating, attendees can contribute to the local community while paying homage to fallen heroes. More information is available on the park's website.
