Under the direction of Greyson Schwieger, Highline High School's Drama Club has transformed into a vibrant program, expanding to offer Drama 1 & 2 classes and an annual Winter Variety Show. The club's current production, *The Prom*, tackles pressing issues of LGBTQIA+ rights and social equality, providing a platform for students to express themselves. Schwieger believes in the transformative power of storytelling, stating that it fosters empathy and encourages students to raise their voices for change. The cast reflects a diverse community, with representation from the LGBTQIA+ community and allies, which helps them connect with the show's themes. Performances are set for May 1-3, with tickets priced at $8 for students and $15 for adults.

Schwieger aims to inspire support for drama programs in schools, highlighting their importance in fostering creativity and dialogue. The club's efforts have already resulted in increased funding and participation, signaling a successful revival. Schwieger remains committed to developing the program further, hoping to integrate Film Studies to enhance students' artistic experiences.
