BAT Theatres The Sandwich Ministry donates 400 sandwiches (so far) to Transform Burien with two weekends remaining

Burien, WALocal News

BAT Theatre's "Sandwich Ministry" has delivered over 400 sandwiches to Transform Burien, marking a significant milestone in community support. Initially met with skepticism regarding its scale, the initiative has proven to be a vital resource for individuals facing food insecurity. The Procurement Minister at Transform Burien emphasized the sandwiches' importance, stating, "When you do not have access to a way to cook, these are a lifesaver. " Alia Sinclair from The B-Town Blog praised the show for its timely message about individual empowerment in the face of societal challenges. With only two weekends left to see "The Sandwich Ministry," BAT Theatre is also promoting community involvement through the GiveBIG campaign on May 6-7 to sustain their outreach efforts.

Upcoming events at BAT include a sold-out Cabaret Night and a Movie Music Karaoke on May 13. This partnership not only feeds the hungry but also fosters a sense of community resilience. The success of the program highlights the potential for local organizations to address pressing social issues.
