A child was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following an apartment fire in SeaTac on Saturday night, April 26, 2025. The incident occurred in the 17300 block of 32nd Avenue South, where fire crews responded to reports of smoke and alarms. Firefighters found heavy smoke emanating from a single apartment unit and learned someone might still be inside. They successfully rescued the child, and no other victims were reported at the scene. King County Medic One transported the child to a trauma center for urgent care.

Fire investigators are on-site to ascertain the cause of the fire, which was contained to the single unit. This incident highlights the risks of apartment fires and the importance of smoke alarms. Local residents are urged to ensure their smoke detectors are functioning properly.
