"Matilda the Musical," a theatrical adaptation of Roald Dahl's cherished novel, will debut this weekend at the Highline Performing Arts Center, presented by the Hi-Liners Musical Theatre. The production runs from July 26-28 and August 2-4, 2024, and is designed for families with children aged 9 and older, offering a full-length experience of 2. 5 hours. The story follows Matilda Wormwood, a bright young girl whose love for literature helps her navigate the difficulties she faces in her life. In a commendable effort to give back, Hi-Liners will also conduct a book fundraiser during the performance run, encouraging attendees to donate funds that will allow teachers in the Highline School District to purchase new books for their classrooms.

This initiative highlights the importance of literacy and education, reinforcing the show's central themes. Attendees can enjoy an enriching theatrical experience while contributing to a worthy cause. Tickets are available now, so be sure to secure your seats for this exciting event!
