StormFest 2023 is calling for volunteers, educators, and interpreters to participate in its interactive stormwater festival for 6th-grade students in Highline Public Schools. Taking place from June 6 to 8, 2023, at Des Moines Beach Park in Des Moines, WA, the event seeks to inspire young minds about environmental stewardship. Those interested can apply for various roles, including station educators who will co-teach engaging lessons, particularly in dual-language Spanish classes. A dedicated training day is scheduled for May 31, 2023, offering coffee, pastries, and transportation support for participants. Educators can earn a stipend of $450 for their involvement, while interpreters will receive $175 per day.

This initiative not only provides important educational experiences for students but also fosters a sense of community engagement in environmental issues. Interested individuals can reach out via email or phone for further inquiries. By participating, volunteers will play a crucial role in motivating students to care for their local streams and stormwater management.
