2 charged in brutal Burien, WA kidnapping, attempted murder

Two men, Alexander Moises Arnaez-Guttierrez and Kevin Daniel Sanabria Ojeda, are facing serious charges in Burien, Washington, after a brutal kidnapping and attempted murder that occurred on January 21. The victim, a 58-year-old woman, was ambushed while walking to her apartment, forced into the suspects' car, and subjected to horrific violence, including being kicked and having a power drill used on her hand. Prosecutors allege that the men stole her purse, credit cards, jewelry, and a significant amount of gold, totaling $20,000. They demanded her PIN numbers while threatening her life and that of her family. After driving her to Kittitas County, the suspects shot her on the side of I-90 and left her for dead, but she survived.

Law enforcement utilized cell phone records and tracking technology to apprehend the suspects. Ojeda has pleaded not guilty and is held on $1 million bail, while Arnaez-Guttierrez is scheduled for arraignment on April 24. This shocking case highlights the ongoing issues of violent crime and public safety in the region.
