Walk with a Doc in Burien and talk about osteoporosis this Saturday, April 12

Burien, WALocal News

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Burien will host a "Walk with a Doc" event at 11 a. m. , where Dr. Dane Nimako will discuss osteoporosis and vitamin D. The gathering will take place at Burien Town Square Park, with participants meeting at a large sculpture.

Should the weather turn unfavorable, the meeting will shift to the Burien library's lobby. After a 15-20 minute health talk, attendees will embark on a walk to Lake Burien Park and return. This initiative is part of a broader effort to inspire healthier lifestyles through community engagement. First-time participants are encouraged to register for the event, which also adds them to the mailing list for future walks. Additionally, a walking challenge runs throughout April, rewarding participants for daily walks.

"Walk with a Doc" promotes low-impact physical activity as a means to improve overall health.
