Homeowners Ian and Mandy Johnson were present during the incident but thankfully reported no injuries. The driver involved was reportedly uninsured, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Ian Johnson expressed his concerns regarding traffic safety and plans to petition the city for improved traffic control measures, citing a direct correlation between the installation of bus lanes on Ambaum Blvd. and the increasing number of accidents at the intersection.

The couple, who have lived in their home for over a decade, noted that two of the four crashes occurred within the last two years. Ian Johnson mentioned that even law enforcement on the scene acknowledged the rise in traffic incidents following the bus lane installation. This situation raises broader concerns about road safety and the effectiveness of current traffic management strategies in Burien.
