Bhargavi Bharata Natyalaya will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a special Bharatanatyam performance titled “Vaageyakaaram Vandhe” on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 3 to 7 p. m. at the Highline Performing Arts Center. Founded in 2008 by Smt. Sandhya Bhargavi Kandadai Rajagopal, the school has been dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich tradition of Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form.

The upcoming performance will feature a series of choreographed acts honoring revered Indian composers and poets, showcasing the school's commitment to cultural heritage. Notable guests, including Burien Mayor Kevin James Schilling, Sen. Tina Orwall, and Des Moines Mayor Traci Buxton, are expected to attend. Organizers expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the children, parents, board members, volunteers, and sponsors for their unwavering support over the years. The event is partially funded by a grant from the Burien Arts Commission, which aims to enhance cultural opportunities in the community.
