Buriens BAT Theatre urgently seeks new storage space ahead of April 11 deadline

Burien, WALocal News

BAT Theatre, a long-standing nonprofit institution in the Burien arts community, is urgently looking for new storage solutions as its current facility must be vacated by April 11, 2025. This sudden need arises after the property owner announced plans to repurpose the existing storage space, putting critical theatre assets at risk. The theatre has been a cornerstone of local culture for 70 years, producing community-focused productions with accessible ticket pricing. BAT Theatre is ideally seeking approximately 2,000 square feet but is open to any available space that could help in preserving essential stage sets, props, and costumes. The organization released a statement highlighting the urgency of their situation, emphasizing that affordable storage options will significantly influence their ability to continue operations.

Community support is crucial for ensuring the continuation of affordable, high-quality live theatre in the region. Interested individuals with leads on available storage can contact Managing Director Maggie Larrick or Artistic Director Eric Dickman directly. More information about the theatre and its productions can be found on their website.
