Burien Permit Center Temporary Closure Next Week

Burien, WALocal News

The City of Burien is preparing to launch a new online permit system, leading to a temporary closure of the Permit Center from July 24-28, 2023. This closure is essential for finalizing the system, which seeks to enhance the tracking of permit statuses and improve customer service. While the Permit Center is closed, no permits will be issued, causing an inconvenience for those needing immediate assistance. However, customers can still apply for new permits through the MyBuildingPermit platform. Permit technicians will not be available to answer queries during this period.

For urgent matters, Building Inspector Brad Pihlstrom can be contacted directly. This transition to an online system reflects Burien's commitment to modernizing its services and improving efficiency. Residents are encouraged to visit the city’s website for further details and updates.
