The City of Burien proudly announces the return of its beloved "It’s a Wonderful Burien" event series for 2023, inviting community members to celebrate the holiday season by supporting local businesses. Scheduled from November 25 to December 31, the initiative showcases unique dining, shopping, and cultural experiences available in the area. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the event series, which includes a variety of activities such as artisan markets, winter performances, and community gatherings. Highlights include the Moshier Community Art Center Pottery Sale, Burien Actors Theatre's production of "The 12 Dates of Christmas," and a festive cookie crawl organized by Discover Burien. City Manager Adolfo Bailon expressed that the series reflects Burien's small-town charm and the value residents place on local businesses and community spirit.
