Burien City Manager Adolfo Bailon expressed the city's dedication to inclusivity, stating, "We look forward to continuing to celebrate these annual traditions with our wonderfully diverse Burien community. " The Burien Pride event will follow from June 7-9, featuring an all-day street festival on June 8 that will include music, a beer garden, and over 100 vendor booths. This celebration not only honors the LGBTQIA+ community but also enhances community engagement and support. The city's proactive approach in recognizing and celebrating diversity sets a positive example for inclusivity in local governance.
