Rod Steitzer, with over 30 years in public works, aims to foster collaboration and innovation within the Public Works department, ensuring community needs are met efficiently. Meanwhile, Fernando Llamas Jr.

has transitioned to Administrative Services Director after 17 years in the department, advocating for a positive and empowering workplace culture. He emphasizes the importance of data-driven decision-making to improve operational effectiveness. Each director’s commitment to Burien’s growth and community engagement is expected to yield impactful outcomes.
