Team Burien Welcomes New Finance Director

Casey Headley has been appointed as the Finance Director for the City of Burien, starting her role on December 2, 2024. Headley brings a wealth of experience from her previous position as finance manager in Albany, Oregon, and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on accounting from Eastern Oregon University. She is dedicated to ongoing professional development in leadership and governmental accounting, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in public service. Headley is attracted to Burien's community-oriented vibe and diverse dining options, viewing the city as a "gem" close to the Puget Sound. She recognizes the challenges and opportunities presented by Burien's significant growth and emphasizes collaboration with city council members as a top priority.
