Two sisters arrested in Tukwila after back-to-back disturbances firearm recovered

Burien, WALocal News

In the early hours of March 22, 2025, Tukwila police arrested two sisters after a series of confrontations outside a local business. The first sister was found screaming and acting aggressively, which led officers to attempt de-escalation tactics before ultimately taking her into custody. Following her arrest, the second sister arrived at the scene and exhibited similar aggressive behavior, refusing to comply with police orders. During her arrest, officers discovered a loaded handgun in her possession, which raised alarms given her prior felony convictions for robbery and theft. Under Washington state law, individuals with such convictions are legally prohibited from possessing firearms.

Both sisters were booked into jail, with the second sister facing specific charges related to unlawful firearm possession. Authorities reported that there were no injuries sustained during these incidents, which underscores the potential dangers of such confrontations. This situation highlights ongoing issues regarding firearm possession laws and the challenges law enforcement faces in managing aggressive behavior in public spaces.
