REMINDER Explore Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle High Schools unique education model at EXPO Night this Thursday, Mar. 20 - The B-Town (Burien) Blog
Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle High School is set to welcome prospective students and families to its EXPO Night on March 20, 2025, from 6-7 p. m. This event will showcase the school's unique educational approach, which combines rigorous academic training with essential work experience for students from low-income backgrounds. The Corporate Work Study program is a cornerstone of this model, allowing students to gain valuable skills through partnerships with over 20 local businesses, including industry giants like Microsoft and Alaska Airlines. These collaborations not only provide real-world experience but also help reduce tuition costs, making education accessible.
Additionally, the school has established connections with more than 80 colleges across the country, ensuring that graduates receive the support necessary for college enrollment and completion. Notably, 100% of the Class of 2023 secured college placements, with CRJS graduates achieving a degree completion rate that is double that of their similarly situated peers. The school serves a culturally and linguistically diverse student population, with 98% identifying as young people of color. Families interested in learning more about this innovative school model are encouraged to attend the EXPO Night and explore application assistance.
