Raging 3-alarm fire engulfs Three Tree Point home Friday residents escape safely with help from concerned neighbors

A destructive three-alarm fire engulfed a home in Burien’s Three Tree Point neighborhood on March 7, 2025, leading to a significant response from local fire departments. The call was made at 4:52 p. m. , and approximately 27 units arrived to battle the raging flames, which were visible from several miles away. Fortunately, both residents escaped the blaze with the assistance of alert neighbors and were transported to hospitals, where one was treated for burns.

Fire Marshal Ray Desmarais highlighted the collaboration between multiple agencies, emphasizing the need for such teamwork during emergencies. Crews worked diligently through the night to extinguish the fire while conducting fire watch to prevent any reignition, all while managing water runoff concerns to protect surrounding properties. Thankfully, neighboring homes suffered only minimal damage despite the intensity of the blaze. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, with the King County Fire Investigation Unit set to begin its probe shortly. A comprehensive report detailing the fire’s cause and the extent of the damage is expected within the next few days.
