REMINDER Free paint recycling event set for this Saturday, Sept. 27

The City of Tukwila will hold a free paint recycling event on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m.

at the Tukwila Community Center. This event allows residents to recycle unlimited amounts of latex and oil-based paints, stains, and coatings in containers of five gallons or smaller. The initiative aims to promote eco-friendly practices and prevent unused paint from entering the waste stream. Certain hazardous items, including aerosol spray paint and solvents, will not be accepted during the collection. The event is designed for local residents and does not require pre-registration, making participation convenient.

Organizers encourage community members to take advantage of this opportunity to clear out old paint responsibly.
