Man passed out in car with drug paraphernalia in lap arrested by Burien Police

A driver was arrested in Burien on September 18, 2025, after deputies found him unconscious behind the wheel of a running vehicle. The deputy arrived at the scene around 7 a. m. in response to a parking violation call and discovered the driver unresponsive inside the vehicle. Upon further investigation, the deputy observed drug paraphernalia on the driver’s lap, prompting action.

After rousing the driver, deputies administered field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was arrested on suspicion of physical control of a vehicle while under the influence, highlighting ongoing concerns about impaired driving in the area. Following the arrest, the suspect was taken to a hospital for a legal blood draw, which is standard procedure in such cases. The Burien Police Department has not disclosed additional details about the arrest. Incidents like this raise awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence and the enforcement actions taken by local law enforcement.
