Feds seize 74,000 stolen items, charge two tied to Burien storefront and online sales scheme

” Prosecutors reported that Bobak and co-defendant Andrey A. Balun knowingly purchased stolen items and resold them via Amazon and eBay, generating over $4. 5 million from January 2022 to June 2023. Federal authorities seized more than 74,000 stolen items worth approximately $2. 4 million during a December 2023 search.
Bobak admitted to using tools to remove anti-theft devices from products, which included electronics and health items. He personally gained at least $1 million in proceeds and agreed to forfeit that amount. Sentencing is set for Dec. 3, 2025, with Balun scheduled for trial on Feb. 23, 2026.
