Suspect wanted in connection with fatal Oct. 3 White Center bus shooting turns self in to police

Burien, WALocal News

Miguel Rivera Dominguez surrendered to the King County Sheriff’s Office on November 6, 2023, after being wanted for the October 3 shooting that resulted in the death of 21-year-old Marcel Da’jon Wagner on a Metro bus in White Center. Prosecutors have requested a $3 million bail for Dominguez, who is known to use public transportation or seek rides from others. Authorities previously categorized him as armed and extremely dangerous, prompting public warnings while he was at large. The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged him with two felonies: murder in the first degree, enhanced by the use of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree. Dominguez has no previous cases with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

His arraignment was scheduled for the same day as his surrender, with further dates to be set by the court. The investigation received support from community members and neighboring law enforcement agencies, highlighting the collective effort to enhance public safety. This incident underscores ongoing concerns regarding gun violence in public spaces.
