UPDATE Deputies investigate deadly stabbing in Burien Monday night

Two people were killed in a triple stabbing incident at an apartment building in Burien on September 8, 2025. The King County Sheriff’s Office reported that the stabbing occurred around 9:30 p. m. in the 200 block of S. 152nd Street, opposite Highline High School.

Upon arrival, deputies found one injured victim outside the building, who was subsequently taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. KCSO Communications Manager Brandyn Hull confirmed that “this is an active homicide investigation,” emphasizing that the public is not in danger. Multiple fire and medic units responded to the scene, which was initially reported as a shooting incident. As of late Monday, no arrests or suspect details have been released, and the investigation is ongoing. Stabbings in the area have raised concerns about safety, prompting local officials to monitor the situation closely.

Community members are urged to stay vigilant as authorities work to resolve the case.
