The Burien/White Center Rotary Club launches its annual ‘Shop with a Cop’ fundraiser at the Burien Farmers Market on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025. Operating from 10 a. m. to 2 p.

m. near the Discover Burien table, the event enables local youth to shop alongside police officers. Penny West from the Rotary emphasizes the program's focus on creating joyful holiday memories and community connections. This year-end tradition culminates with children receiving gift cards to Fred Meyer, enhancing their shopping experience. Community members can learn more about the program and make donations at the Rotary booth.

The initiative not only provides practical support but also fosters lasting relationships between youth and law enforcement.
