The ArtsFund’s 2025 Community Accelerator Grant program awarded $65,000 to seven Burien arts organizations, showcasing a commitment to enhancing local culture. The Highline Heritage Museum received the largest share of $25,000, while Momentum Dance Academy secured $17,500. Across Washington, 930 organizations benefited from a total of $10 million in grants, representing the largest group of awardees in the program's history. ArtsFund President Michael Greer noted that access to well-resourced arts organizations fosters community livability. The program launched in 2023 has distributed $30 million in unrestricted grants, focusing on accessibility by awarding funds to every eligible applicant.

With 74 percent of grantees having annual budgets under $500,000, the funding is crucial for smaller nonprofits. The grants are expected to generate significant economic activity, with awardees projecting a $27 million impact statewide. In Burien, the funding is set to strengthen the city's growing cultural identity, highlighting diverse artistic expressions and heritage preservation.
