Para Los Niños de Highline will host an Open House on Aug. 14, 2025, from 5 to 7 p. m. to celebrate its recent building purchase at 15220 6th Ave. SW.

The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p. m. featuring prominent guests such as Sen. Emily Alvarado and former Rep. Tina Orwall.

Executive Director Virginia Herrera-Páramo noted the building symbolizes a safe space for immigrant families navigating challenges. PLN aims to raise $1 million for necessary repairs and updates to ensure a secure environment for future generations. Attendees can enjoy local artwork and participate in a silent auction to support fundraising efforts. This milestone event underscores community collaboration in achieving PLN's mission. The Open House serves not only as a celebration but also as a reminder of the organization's commitment to fostering belonging and support for families in the area.
