Burien UFO Festival will beam down music, costumes, and sci-fi fun to Olde Burien on Saturday, Aug. 16

The Burien UFO Festival (BUFO) will take place on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, in Olde Burien, providing a full day of entertainment including live music, local vendors, and a much-anticipated alien costume contest. The festival begins at 11:30 a. m. and features performances from various artists, with the costume contest scheduled for 4 p.

m. Organizers emphasize the debut of visionary artist Joseph Brooks, whose immersive work explores themes of energy and consciousness, marking a special highlight for attendees. Additionally, fans of sci-fi literature can meet Aaron Ryan, author of The Dissonance Trilogy, which features intergalactic adventures and suspenseful storytelling. BUFO has evolved into a significant summer event since its launch in 2014, founded by filmmaker John White to celebrate local UFO sightings and encounters.
