The Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden will host its annual Ice Cream Social on July 28, 2024, from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m. , giving free ice cream to the first 200 visitors.

Marianne Binetti will serve as the guest speaker, sharing insights on gardening with her presentation titled “Binetti’s Best Plants for Lazy Gardeners. ” Children will have the opportunity to enjoy crafts and face painting, making it an engaging event for families. The event not only promotes community involvement but also emphasizes the importance of gardening education. Last year’s event drew significant attendance, showcasing the garden's popularity in the region. Local nonprofits often benefit from such community gatherings, enhancing their fundraising efforts.
