Teen critically injured in stabbing on Metro bus in Burien Wednesday

A teenage male suffered serious injuries from a stabbing aboard a King County Metro bus in Burien on July 23, 2025. The incident occurred around 1:30 p. m. during an altercation between two passengers on the northbound bus traveling along Ambaum Blvd. SW.

Emergency responders transported the injured passenger to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. Authorities arrested a suspect at the scene, and the King County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident, emphasizing that there is no ongoing threat to public safety. The stabbing highlights ongoing concerns about violence in public transportation settings. Sheriff’s investigators have not disclosed the identities of either individual involved or the motive behind the altercation.
