Burien, WALocal News

The White Center Library Guild invites the public to its annual Summer Sidewalk Sale on July 25 and 26, 2025, from 11 a. m. to 4 p. m. outside the White Center Library, located at 1409 SW 107th Street.

The event features secondhand books and gently used household items, promoting sustainable shopping practices within the community. Organizers highlight the sale as a vital opportunity for neighbors to connect and support literacy initiatives. "All proceeds benefit the programs for the White Center Library," the organizers stated, emphasizing the importance of the fundraiser. The Guild, a dedicated volunteer group, plays a crucial role in enhancing library services through fundraising and community engagement. Last year, the event successfully raised funds for various library programs, showcasing the community’s commitment to literacy.

This year’s sale aims to attract even more participants, reinforcing local support for educational resources. The event not only fosters community spirit but also addresses the need for accessible literacy programs in White Center.
