Burien's "Music in the Park" concert series kicks off on Thursday, July 17, with a high-energy performance by Smashing Flannels, renowned for their nostalgic 90s hits. The free concert, held at Lake Burien School Memorial Park from 6:30 to 8 p. m. , encourages attendees to enjoy the summer evening with blankets and picnic dinners. This series, running every Thursday until August 21, features a diverse lineup of genres, including soul, swing, and country.

Upcoming acts include Eric Blu & the Soul Revue and Boogie Boulevard, ensuring varied musical experiences for the community.
