Grand Opening for new Normandy Park Grocery Outlet will be Thursday, Aug. 7

Burien, WALocal News

Grocery Outlet will open a new store in Normandy Park on Aug. 7, 2025, at 19803 1st Avenue South, taking over the space of the former Normandy Park Market. The upscale grocery store has been closed since 2019, paving the way for this new discount option. Owners Gary and Cheryl DeCoursey are expanding from their Burien location and are eager to serve the community. The new store will offer discounts of 40 to 70 percent on a wide range of grocery items, including fresh produce and pantry staples.

The first 100 customers will receive Bliss Buck gift cards valued between $5 and $500, and free reusable bags will be provided while supplies last. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will highlight the store's commitment to giving back to the community, with further details to be announced. Grocery Outlet operates over 400 locations across the U. S. and emphasizes its independent ownership model.

This opening marks a significant addition to the local retail landscape, promising affordability and community engagement.
