FREE Tree Point Giveaway Day weekend will be July 8 9

Burien’s Three Tree Point neighborhood will debut its "Giveaway Day" on July 8-9, 2023, allowing residents to share unwanted goods. The event runs from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m.

, inviting locals on select streets to place free items outside their homes, marked with a "FREE STUFF" sign. Participants must refrain from knocking on doors and are responsible for hauling away items they wish to take. This initiative lacks a central organizer, encouraging a community-led effort to experiment with sharing resources. Residents are reminded to offer usable items instead of trash, promoting sustainability. The concept aligns with growing trends in community sharing and recycling.

At the day's end, remaining items must be retrieved by their owners. This event seeks to enhance neighborhood ties and promote responsible consumption.
