The B-Town Blog reported a 91. 7% increase in readership in June 2025, reaching 104,991 users compared to May. Sessions spiked to 150,266, and total pageviews rose to 189,267, driven by traffic from breaking crime news and local events. High-performing articles included coverage of shootings in Burien and the Burien Strawberry Festival. Engagement was strong, with direct visits leading at 67,800 sessions, followed by 46,300 from organic search.

Publisher Scott Schaefer emphasized the community's reliance on the blog for timely and professional journalism, stating it has maintained ethical standards since its inception. The blog's strong social media presence, with over 20,000 followers on Facebook, further supports its reach. Schaefer also received First Place in the Video (Soft News) category at the Society of Professional Journalists' 2024 awards for a feature on a local postal carrier. The blog continues to expand its coverage area beyond Burien to include neighboring communities in South King County.
