UPDATE Victim of Thursdays fatal Burien crash on Ambaum Blvd. SW identified as 18-year-old

The King County Medical Examiner's Office identified 18-year-old Ernesto Manuel Sanchez as the victim of a fatal crash in Burien on July 10, 2025. The single-vehicle accident occurred around 3:15 a. m. when Sanchez's car struck a tree at SW 118th Street and Ambaum Blvd. SW.

First responders found him unconscious inside the severely damaged vehicle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Response and Reconstruction unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved, and further details have not yet been released.
