WABI Buriens UV Awareness Walk with a Doc will be this Saturday, July 12

Burien, WALocal News

The "Walk with a Doc" program will host a walk in Burien on Saturday, July 12, 2025, starting at 11 a. m. Participants will gather at Burien Town Square Park for a talk on UV awareness and skin health led by Dr. Dane Nimako. After the discussion, attendees will walk to Lake Burien Park and return, promoting walking as a low-impact exercise.

Walking is valued for its health benefits and is particularly accessible for individuals with orthopedic or heart conditions. The program fosters health education outside the clinic, making it a community-oriented initiative. A new chapter in North Seattle will also begin monthly walks led by child psychologist Dr. Karen Toth. The "Walk with a Doc" initiative has roots in Columbus, OH, and has expanded globally since its inception in 2005.

Participants are encouraged to register in advance for notifications about future walks.
