Burien, WALocal News

The 11th Annual Burien Public Art Walk-n-Talk takes place on Sunday, August 6, 2023, beginning at 2:15 p. m. Participants will meet at Wells Fargo Bank to explore a 1. 75-mile route showcasing public art installations. The event features diverse artworks, including sculptures and murals, developed through community collaboration.

Rick, a repeat attendee, expressed his delight in discovering new art despite being a long-time resident. The City of Burien partners with local developers to create pedestrian-friendly spaces that display artwork, emphasizing the importance of engaging the community. New public art has been added since the initial walking map was created in 2013. The event is free and suitable for all ages, including pets. This reflects the city's ongoing efforts to promote local culture and community involvement.
