Power outages knock out electricity to over 2,200 in Burien Thursday

On November 2, 2023, two power outages disrupted electricity for 2,275 Seattle City Light customers in Burien, starting at 12:57 p. m. City Light estimates restoration by 4 p. m. The outage area stretches from Seahurst in the south to the Evansvale/Evansville neighborhood.

While the cause has not been confirmed, officials suspect wind may have contributed to the outages. Customers can access updates on City Light's outage page.
