The Hi-Liners Musical Theatre will present the high-energy musical Newsies from July 25 to August 3, 2025, at the Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien. The production is inspired by the real-life 1899 New York newsboys' strike, showcasing the struggles and triumphs of young workers. The narrative centers on Jack Kelly, a newsboy who leads a citywide strike against unfair pricing imposed by powerful publishing companies. Performances are scheduled for various times, including evening and matinee shows. Musical direction is led by Frankie Curry-Edwards, and choreography is crafted by Krystle Armstrong, highlighting local artistic talent.

The show emphasizes community involvement in the arts and aims to attract audiences of all ages. Tickets will be available for purchase ahead of the performances. The entire production is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
