A car crash damaged a utility pole, leading to a power outage that impacted approximately 4,400 customers in Burien's Shorewood neighborhood early Friday morning. Seattle City Light reported the outage began at 4:45 a. m. , with the first notification sent via Twitter at 5:25 a. m.

By 8 a. m. , power had been restored to 2,703 customers, leaving 1,697 still without electricity. The utility has estimated that power will be fully restored by 9:30 a. m.
