No injuries after shots fired on I-5 suspect arrested at Angle Lake Park

A suspect was arrested on June 25, 2025, after allegedly firing multiple rounds at another vehicle on northbound I-5 near SR 516, according to the Washington State Patrol. Witnesses provided critical information that, combined with license plate reader data, led deputies to the suspect's vehicle—a black Chevrolet Equinox—at nearby Angle Lake Park in SeaTac. Deputies detained multiple individuals, and one was identified as the shooter, resulting in the recovery of several handguns. No injuries were reported, and the incident prompted an immediate response from law enforcement. Trooper Rick Johnson emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating, "Sincere thanks to the witnesses and the King County Sheriff’s Office.

" The suspect is expected to be booked into King County Jail as investigations continue. The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and officials are working to gather more information. This incident highlights ongoing concerns about gun violence and public safety on major highways.
