BCYF Clougherty and Mirabella Outdoor Pools to Open For the Summer

Boston, MALocal News

The BCYF Clougherty Pool opens on June 28, and the BCYF Mirabella Pool follows on July 1, offering free swimming to Boston residents. Both outdoor pools will be available six days a week from 8:00 a. m. to 7:00 p. m.

Due to increased weekend demand, pre-registration is required for Saturday and Sunday swim sessions. Visitors must create a profile on the BCYF website, and children under eight must swim with an adult present. The city has prioritized pool infrastructure, investing in renovations that recently reopened the Draper and Curtis Hall Pools. Safety measures include a maximum of three children under 12 per adult and trained lifeguards overseeing the pools. Boston’s splash pads and water features are already operational, providing additional cooling options.

BCYF also offers summer programming and youth jobs through the Mayor's Summer Jobs Program.
